Services
Services will be provided to at-risk youth with behavioral/conduct disorders and psychological disorders stemming from neglect/abuse, dysfunctional families, and drug abuse. Program participants will receive clinical-based group and individual counseling along with basic life skills training. Participants will also learn to identify and improve their self-awareness, learn problem-solving skills, develop social skills, and learn to respect and trust themselves and others.
All program participants will be provided an alternative educational resource on-site by highly qualified and certified professionals through out the year. The educational needs of the individual will be identified and monitored utilizing the individual educational plan (IEP) process.
Experiential Learning
Participants will be enriched daily utilizing discovery of nature-based concepts. With a scenic farm setting as a backdrop, practical life-long experiences will be gained through a living laboratory. Participants will be encouraged and guided in the study of wildlife, aquaculture, horticulture, agriculture, and arboriculture.
Safety and Well Being
The highest priority of all staff and workers in the program is the participant’s safety and well-being. All activities will be designed around this principle and at no time will corporal punishment or verbal abuse be administered. All staff and workers complete training in dealing with aggressive behaviors, restraint prevention and appropriate methods of discipline.
